Early-Stage Startups & Research Projects

Inviting early-stage startups with a PoC / Prototype. The program is also open for academic projects in research phases that can transform research into viable healthcare solutions.

Pilot

While not mandatory, preference is given to startups with a successful Pilot.

PAN India Presence

Your company should be incorporated across India, reflecting a broad and impactful footprint.

Avishkaran, a BIRAC BioNEST-backed incubation centre hosted at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research-Hyderabad (NIPER-Hyderabad), aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the domain of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. Avishkaran is focused on the promotion of innovative healthcare and the development of drug substances and products of national priority. Its goals and objectives include (but not limited to) the promotion of research and development of new chemical entities, generics, biopharmaceuticals, new drug formulations, medical devices, Ayurveda, Nutraceuticals, Phytopharma, Biofertilizers incorporating SaaS, AI, ML, Blockchain etc. and support budding entrepreneurs towards innovation. Avishkaran is committed to bringing a positive change in the Startup ecosystem by stimulating the country’s potential human capital towards entrepreneurship.

The program is open to startups across pharmaceutical industries and sectors. We encourage diversity in innovative ideas and solutions.

Selection is based on factors such as the uniqueness of the product or service, market potential, team strength, and scalability.

While we welcome startups from different sectors, this program is calling startups with a focus on industries like AI/ML-based Health Tech Solutions, SaaS-based Digital Health Platforms, Healthcare & Pharma, & Biotechnology.

Selected startups benefit from mentorship, access to T-Hub’s extensive network, workshops, lab testing facility, technical expertise from NIPER, and connections with value partners. They also gain access to investors and resources to accelerate their growth.

The program fee is INR 70,000, with GST applicable.

The program duration is approximately 4 months, with key milestones outlined upon selection. These milestones typically involve workshops, mentoring sessions, and demo days.

Startups gain the opportunity to apply for T-Hub’s advanced engagement and business scaling program, propelling them towards further growth and success, and gaining access to the rich array of resources offered by Avishkaran-NIPER.
